Here’s a delicious recipe for Banana Bread with Walnuts and Chocolate Chips 🍌🍫
Ingredients:
- 1 cup (2–3 ripe) bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted butter (unsalted)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (or 1/3 cup for a less sweet version)
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup chopped walnuts
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven & Prepare Pan
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line it with parchment paper. - Mix Wet Ingredients
In a large bowl, mash the bananas with a fork. Stir in the melted butter. Add sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth. - Add Dry Ingredients
Sprinkle baking soda and salt over the mixture and mix in. Gently fold in the flour until just combined (don’t over mix). - Add Walnuts & Chocolate Chips
Fold in chopped walnuts and chocolate chips evenly. - Bake
Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan. Bake for 55–65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. (If the top browns too quickly, cover loosely with foil.) - Cool & Serve
Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Slice and enjoy!
Tips:
- Use very ripe bananas for maximum sweetness and flavor.
- You can toast the walnuts beforehand to bring out extra flavor.
- For an extra touch, drizzle melted chocolate over the top once cooled.
